The papers must be original and should not have been published or offered for publication elsewhere. Purely promotional text will not be accepted. The Technical Paper Committee reserves the right to accept a submission as an oral or poster presentation. Authors must assign all copyright of the accepted papers to WODA.
Prospective authors are invited to submit titles and abstracts (maximum 300 words) of their papers by 1 October 2003. If possible abstracts should be sent by e-mail in either Rich Text Format (RTF), Portable Document Format (PDF) or as plain text (ASCII). Other file formats cannot be opened. If you submit a hard copy, please send five copies. The submission must include the name, affiliation, complete return address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address of each author. The corresponding author's name must be identified. Authors are requested to send their abstracts to the given address in their own geographic area. Authors should indicate if their submission is for poster presentation only.
The Technical Paper Committee will assess the abstracts. Authors will be informed not later than 1 December 2003 of the acceptance of the paper and will receive the author's Kit. This will include instructions for the preparation of the full manuscript, the conference registration form and the copyright transfer form. Draft manuscripts, having a text of 3000 - 5000 words must reach the organisers before 15 February 2004. All manuscripts will be refereed for quality, correctness, originality and relevance. To assist in revision of the manuscripts for the final submission reviewer's comments will be sent to the authors by 15 April 2004. The final camera-ready papers must be received by 15 July 2004.
The submission and our acceptance of it as an oral or poster presentation implies that one or more of the authors will register for the congress, pay the appropriate fee(s) and attend the congress for presentation of the complete paper/poster in English. Therefore, one full registration with payment must accompany each draft manuscript. If the registration fee is not paid at that time, the paper will be withdrawn from the programme and will not appear in the proceedings. The length of presentations in the Technical Sessions is limited to 20 minutes, in the Academic Session to 15 minutes.
